This morning started like any other morning… Mr. Darcy brought Kitty into bed for me at 7:40 for her morning nursing session. Kitty was especially happy to see me and kept smiling up at me while drinking. She knows how to charm her mommy. We snuggled together for awhile until I finally had to drag myself out of bed to make lunches for the two oldest kids.
Finally at 8:00, I grudgingly left my warm fluffy cocoon and stumbled into the kitchen. I quickly threw together some sandwiches, checked to make sure the kids weren’t wearing anything too goofy, and then shoved them out the door to catch the bus.
Then Kitty and I sat down for our morning breakfast ritual. I poured some Marshmallow Mateys (the poor man’s Lucky Charms) into a bowl and shared it with my screeching hungry baby. I scooped up a few of the oat pieces for Kitty, then scooped the marshmallows into my mouth. Back and forth… back and forth… Yucky oat things for you… Yummy marshmallows for me. The diet is going fine. Thanks for asking.
Afterward, I sat Kitty down in her room while I ran a bath for Jane. When I peaked in on her she was in such a good mood, I had to get my camera to torture her a little. And so we have:
THE MANY FACES OF KITTY
Something tells me I’ll be seeing that last expression a lot in her teenage years.
