Kitty is eleven months old and:
- Crawling everywhere and getting into everything. I am constantly fishing things out of her mouth. This seems like the appropriate time to mention how much I hate Polly Pockets.
- Cruising around furniture. She will occasionally get brave enough to let go for a second or two, but she is not yet standing independently.
- Acting like a little parrot and repeating sounds we make. If we say “Uh-oh!” she will mimic us by saying “Uhhhhhhh-ohhhh”. Same with “Dada” and every so often “Mama”. Oh, and tongue clicking. If we click our tongues at her, she will click hers in response.
- After getting a bad head cold and not being able to breathe while nursing, which led to frustration, which led to biting, she had a crash course weaning last week. I proclaimed, “I weanest thee! Thou art weaned!” And then I ate a lot of Heath Blizzards.
And check out all these goofy pictures from this morning. She definitely has a knack for making strange facial expressions. Jane must have taught her a thing or two:
My favorite. ^ What the heck is that?!
