Not many people know that Kitty was born with a birth defect called Chronic Floppy Arm Syndrome. When it’s time to hold up a bottle, her upper limbs become as useless as a T-Rex’s.
Okay, well, it’s not a birth defect, but it is pretty frustrating. She refuses to hold her own bottle. She turns one in two weeks and she still cannot hold a bottle. So, we have to stand there for 5 minutes holding it while simultaneously trying to feed ourselves dinner or whatever else might need to be done.
Mr. Darcy and I have tried to take the Tough Love approach and force her to hold it on her own. We prop her hands up on the bottle and then back away. For 20 seconds, she does okay and then she starts to make whimpery grunts similar to how I sound if I ever try to do a pull up. Which doesn’t happen very often, believe you me.
Well, we still think she’s cute… useless arms and all.
