It occurred to me that I hadn’t attempted a sibling shot in months. Months and months. And so as we were driving home from church yesterday, I thought, “The kids are looking presentable, and the weather is semi-pleasant at the moment. Maybe I can make them pose for a shot or two when we get home.” And so the plan was hatched and I promised candy to all who cooperated.
Okay, so now I’ll show you the best shots from yesterday:
Notice no shots of the 4 together. Here’s why:
You know, I should have anticipated that this wouldn’t work out. If you let Kitty outside, she can not be contained. She wanted to go down her slide and wouldn’t stop squirming.
And Jane. Oh, that Jane. I forgot (but remembered very quickly) how Jane immediately shuts down if it is a little on the cold side.
Her: “I’M COOOOOOOLD!”
Me: “Snuggle up to The Boy. He’ll keep you warmer.”
Her: “I’M COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD!!!!”
Me: “Run inside and grab a sweater.”
But, by that point Kitty had fled, so I abandoned the idea of a group shot. Since Lizzy and The Boy were cooperating, I tried for some cute shots of them:
Things disintegrated quickly. Alright… moving along…
But, Jane refused to come inside. She knew that she wouldn’t get candy because she hadn’t cooperated. So, despite the fact that she was FREEZING and the rest of us had gone inside, she planted her feet and wouldn’t budge. She was shivering and sobbing, so I picked her up, carried her in, and took this fabulous picture of her so that she could have a piece of candy.
