I know I said I wouldn’t post anymore pictures of our home office until it was completed, but I lied, alright?! Shut up.
Seriously though, I was really hoping this room would be done by now. And I’m so close… so very, deliciously close. The curtains still need to be hung (ran into some problems with crappy screws), and the tile still awaits installation. But, everything else is completed.
I can’t believe that the filing cabinet is almost cute. I obviously still need to move the computer back in there, but I finally got all the crap cleared off the desk and organized literally like, 5 minutes ago.
Don’t make fun of me for saying “Like”. I grew up in California.
Here is the other thing I’ve been working on this week:
One thing you will never find on this blog is organizing advice. I am missing the gene for organization. That closet is as organized as I get. That is after six thousand hours of sifting through hud that had spilled off the shelves and all over the floor. I never took a picture of the closet BEFORE because it was too humiliating. I was afraid CPS would get their hands on it and take away my children. Seriously. It looked like someone had eaten 12 board games, a million files, and 10 unfinished scrap books and then hurled it all back up inside my closet. One of the clutter loving ladies from “Hoarders” would have looked inside and said, “Whoa, girl. You’ve got problems.”
Dead serious. It was that bad. If I needed to put something away in there, I would plug my nose, hold my breath, open the door quickly, throw the thing in, then slam the door shut and brace myself for the impending avalanche.
Anyway, I am so thrilled with how the home office turned out. I never expected to be able to walk into the room and smile. It was hideodeous. I spelled that wrong on purpose. Go see Wicked.
Next Thursday: Another long, terrible, never ending Pemberley Project begins. I’ll tell you more next week.
