Shall we quickly refresh our memories of the old foyer?

I painted the door black today. I mean, it’s no surprise that I painted something black, but I did it to try and help visitors out. We have had several people stand in our entry and dance back and forth between the two doors trying to decide which one was the front door.
(I don’t quite understand the confusion since one is huge, has a deadbolt and a peephole, and the other looks like a coat closet. Whatevs. I thought I’d make it easier for people desiring to quickly flee my house to distinguish which door to rush towards.)
So, I just painted it today, and I’m not happy with it. Maybe I needed a glossier finish? I don’t know. I like it black, but the paint job looks crappy. However, I didn’t want to put this post off for even longer, so I’m posting the not-so-great looking black door as it is. Trust me, I’ll fix it later.
So, it’s almost done. I mean, really really close. I have a new chandelier to replace the old one, the only problem is that nobody can figure out how to get to the old one. Apparently, it is awkwardly placed. So, I’m waiting for my electricians to get back to me on when and if they can install it.
I’m also waiting for a new doorbell cover to be installed. You can see the old wires hanging out in the last picture. And our trim needs to be repainted, but I hate painting trim more than I hate scraping wallpaper, so that’s another job I’m going to weasel out of.
