We have a couple little reminders around the house that the original owners of Pemberley were much richer than we are. They had live-in staff that… get this… actually walked around in maid uniforms.
When their children were out swimming in their pool that overlooked the whole town, their maids would bring them out drinks. When Mr. Moser was sitting in his den and needed some refreshment, he would just have to lean over and punch the doorbell while his staff waited on his every need. And here I am walking around, getting my own drinks like an idiot.
Even if they no longer work, they’re a fun reminder of the past.
