At 11:14 a.m. on this day of June the 11th, Twenty-ten the final pieces of faux were removed from the sacred walls of Pemberley Manor Yakima Campus. And there was much rejoicing.
Hot damn! I’m so glad it is gone!
Also, Dammit! I’m not doing very well on my goal to swear less.
So, I’ve spent the rest of the day cleaning the walls and priming. I am definitely behind schedule, but tomorrow… Tomorrow is another day!
Anyway, I’ll finish tomorrow. I’m tired and I want to go to bed.
So, since I don’t have pictures of the finished foyer today, I will show you the next project(s) on my plate. I’m going to shoot for painting two rooms in the remaining weeks of June to try and catch up.
Which is just kind of blah. We moved their stuff in and haven’t done a thing since besides buying some really cheap IKEA beds. I am dreaming up a project that takes the beds from kind of ugly to really super adorable. However, I don’t know if it will happen this month. Mostly I’m just worried about completing the paint right now. I will work on prettying up the rest of it later on.
So, my goals are to paint, rearrange furniture, improve the organization, and remove the pathetic little wallpaper border. Well, just the backing layer to the border… we peeled off the top the day we moved in. I am not scared. I can remove wallpaper borders in my sleep. With one arm tied behind my back. Blindfolded.
This will be a piece of cake.
Then we have The Boy’s lavendar room:
Just paint here, too. We might switch out his bed for a queen because Mr. Darcy, lovely man, bought me a long awaited, long begged for, long anticipated king bed. We don’t have anywhere to store our queen, so I think we’ll probably move it in here.
So, these are easy. I am giving myself nineteen days to finish. You think I can do it? And just because I’ve NEVER completed a project on time doesn’t mean you should say “No”.
