My brilliant sister that was visiting last week helped me solve the outdoor Kitty problem. –You remember the problem, how I don’t have a fenced yard for Kitty to play in? Well, my sister suggested I put some toys on our deck and gate off the steps so Kitty has a place to play unaccompanied.
Isn’t that smart? Yea, verily. I am so excited about this plan that Mr. Darcy is out on the deck as we speak (type) power washing it so that I can start painting it tomorrow.
Our deck is completely wasted space at the moment. It is in pretty bad shape. It has plywood instead of proper decking material, and is just a mess of chipping paint and rotting plywood. We can’t afford to put down Trex decking yet, so a quick and cheap fix is all we can manage.
Some plywood, porch paint, and a baby gate and we are good to go. This is the first thing I have gotten giddy enough about to actually lure me out of my pregnancy/postpartum project slothfulness.
