The main problem with taking pictures of her lately is that I can’t take pictures and hold her at the same time. And if I am not holding her, she is mad about it.
If I put her down = mad.
If I give her to someone else to be held = mad.
If I give her to someone else and walk out of the room = nuclear meltdown
So, aside from separation anxiety and a general clingyness, what else can I tell you about my Lydia at this age?
-She has 6 teeth.
-She is so skinny. Like, I was worried she was starving skinny. She is tall, but just bony. I’ve never had a dainty baby like this. It makes me nervous in a way that I find embarrassing since I have had 4 babies before her and should probably not be this neurotic.
-She hates being on her tummy. She barely spends any time on her tummy because she screams if I put her down. So, she will probably not walk until she is 2 years old, and honestly… I’m cool with that.
-Still not sleeping through the night since she thinks sleeping is the perfect opportunity to poop her pants.
-She has started to “sing” along to the music in the car or when I play the piano. Mostly it sounds like that scene in Dumb and Dumber when what’s-his-face makes the “most annoying sound in the world” You know, find one note and hold it forever? Still, it’s cute when she does it.
I guess there isn’t really much to tell. We wake up in the morning… I hold her. We drive the kids to school. I hold her. Nap. Back in the carseat to pick up Kitty from preschool. Hold. Nap. Carseat to get the big kids. Hold. Hold. Nap. Hold. Hold. Bed.
Anyway, she’s a sweetheart and we sure love having her in our family.
