It’s just been me and the little girls for most of the last week. It is strange, but not bad. The big kids are off having fun with relatives and the little ones don’t care if we don’t have anything elaborate planned. They are happy to hang out at the house and play in the yard.
Speaking of which, Kitty learned to pump her legs on the swing this week. This is a glorious right of passage that every mother yearns for. No longer do I have to hear the desperate unending whine, “MOOOOOOOOOOMYYYY, PUSHHHHHHHHHHHH MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!”. My life literally could not be better, Kitty can pump. Hot damn!
That reminds me, Bennet is so righteous, so straight as an arrow, so obedient that when we read the scriptures together and he gets a scripture that says “hell” or “damn” he starts gulping hard or stuttering and protests having to read said verse. So, I yell out the word as loud as I can which makes him squirm uncomfortably (and probably silently pray for my soul). Which is why you might hear me yelling out “DAMNATION!!!” randomly during the day, but especially whenever Bennet enters the room.
Lastly, my little sis is here visiting with her four year old. I am in heaven, I tell you. I love when she is here, because she is awesome. But, also because Kitty and Wyatt are only 6 weeks apart and it is fun to see them together. Dude, I MUST get a video of Wyatt trying to pump his legs on the swing… it is the best thing I have ever seen in my life. I am not exaggerating… I can barely type right now I am laughing so hard. I think he could gold medal in leg pumping, but he will probably give himself a serious neck injury before he gets the chance.
By the way, it is August. That means I have to homeschool my kids in a month’s time. Hold me.
