This didn’t work. In my head, it was going to be awesome. Then the kids couldn’t get the flashlights positioned quite right… and it was raining so they were kind of ticked to be outside… and Lizzy couldn’t be convinced to switch to a non-red-flashlight… the pumpkins kept burning out before we could get a good shot…
And the above picture is the only one where Lydia was actually visible. She was more interested in crawling around in the dark than holding still and posing for a photo. Then the second we came back inside she nailed it.
Funny girl. I wish I had time to write up every adorable thing about Lydia these days. I just stare at her and have to restrain myself from grabbing her and smothering her in kisses. The things she says, the funny stuff she does, hearing her sweet little voice calling, “MOMMMM!”, the fact that she is easily portable when throwing tantrums… I tell you what, toddlers are solid gold.
True story, toddlers are how I ended up with five kids. Don’t have any toddlers? You should get some. 1-3 is the best age HANDS DOWN. By three they become minions of the Dark Lord, but somehow I always forget about that and keep chasing after more toddlers.
