Kitty is a funny, spunky little blue-eyed, chubby-cheeked almost-kindergartner.
If you want to know how the sibling dynamic goes at our house, go read the Betty Bunny books. Kitty is so completely Betty Bunny. Lizzy is the snarky, sarcastic oldest sibling (Bill). Bennet is the always literal older brother (Henry). Jane is the sometimes exasperated but usually peace-making Kate.
I can’t even tell you how much I wish I had written those books.
And the crazy, feisty, determined, sometimes impossible Betty Bunny? Yes, 100% Kitty. Although, so far she has never stuffed chocolate cake down her sock.
A non-marshmallow piece of Lucky Charms in her diaper? Yes… she has done that. But, so far no cake in socks.
She is in that completely honest stage that can be so humorous, if you are not the person she is being completely truthful to. “Why is your belly so big, mom? Are you having a baby?”.
When we were discussing who to invite to her birthday party, I said the name of a boy she knows and she quickly said, “He’s not my friend! He’s CRAZY!”. And it made me laugh, because he is a little bit… kind of… that way. .
So, keep your eye on this Kitty girl. She is a force of nature. She can’t sit still during dinner. She likes her shoes on the wrong feet. She thinks wearing pants is a punishment. She really hates having her hair brushed.
She is going to take over the world and she will do it in a dress and with mismatched shoes.
