Our pretty little Kitty turned four last week. But, she thinks she turned one, so if you ask her how old she is she’ll say, “I dunno. One?”.
So, as per our new tradition, I had to take her out for a birthday photo shoot, even if taking pictures of Kitty is sort of impossible. She thinks that if she can see me anywhere in her peripheral vision that she is looking at the camera. Her head will be turned away from me and I’ll say, “Look at ME. Look at my camera.” and she’ll yell, “I AM!!!!”.
And I’m not sure that this picture is good, but it was one of the only close-ups where she was looking at me.
She looks scared or like she smells something really unfortunate. But, a little adorable still if you might be her mother. And I might be.
Can you believe how grown up she is getting? She’s starting to look like a little lady. A wild little lady, perhaps? Most days she looks quite feral since she dresses herself in such creative (and usually backwards) clothing, plus she really hates to have her hair brushed.
But, I think she cleans up pretty well (if you can trick her into it).
Her preschool teacher described her as “easygoing” and I was all, “Wait. –Does she know which one Kitty is?” But, then she also said that she was a free-spirit, loves glue and could drink more juice than anyone else in the class. So I was like, “Yup, that’s Kitty, alright.”. We have to keep our juice under lock and key.
